AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIP
NLC ANNUAL AWARD
AUGUST WERNER MUSIC AWARD
NORWEGIAN LADIES CHORUS SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Norwegian Ladies Chorus of Seattle is offering scholarships through its Scholarship Fund. There will be two awards totaling up to $1,500. These scholarships are intended to promote the musical endeavors of students in the ideals of the Norwegian community, to encourage and support their future. Applicants will be judged on merit alone as determined by the Scholarship Committee’s evaluation of the applicant’s written proposal describing the purpose for which the scholarship will be used, two letters of recommendation and an official copy of the student’s transcripts.
Priority consideration shall be given to applicants whose course of study aims toward a future in music or fields related, which ideally relate to Norway or strengthening relations between Norway and the United States.
Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States, residing in the greater Seattle area, enrolled in a course of study at a high school, university or college in the Pacific Northwest with a knowledge of music.
Applicants must have a minimum of a C+ grade point average or equivalent.
Completed applications should be sent to:
